the idea was that of a night wandering , in a forest, a city, an imaginary world. You get lost and you find things about yourself.

When the mist goes away it's time for the dancefloor!

This 1 hour 1-take Live mix started as a more ambient, electronica affair but then I couldn't help but venture into more sunny territories. The Call of the Dancefloor I guess :-)
I hope you will enjoy it!

Around Summer in a day

After a tiresome lengthy move to the countryside,  I was finally able to open the cases of records, and I felt like recording something that screamed summer, but more like a certain idea and nostalgia of teenage summers.
1 take, improvised, vinyl only...hope you'll like it!

Painlevé + de Roubaix = Magic

The famous Commandant Cousteau turned down this score François de Roubaix had composed for his Antarctica show. All the better for M. Jean Painlevé and his amazing film on crystals!

Melting Minimix - A work in progress

Days go by and I can't seem to find the time to record any mixes, let alone mix for my own personal amusement.
Anyway my good friend Little Shalimar from New York was in town recently, and he very kindly gave me a copy of a 7inch he did. There's a song on this record called Melting that I love, and it made me want to record a mix, mostly with 7inches, except for 1 track.

Sadly I wasn't able to dedicate as much time as I would have liked to this mix, but let's see it as a kind of work in progress that will certainly help me record a proper one in the not too distant future.

BBH75

I find French singer Higelin rather annoying but I love this track, discovered thanks to Prins Thomas and Pal Strangefruit. The intense "poetic" lyrics, verging on the ridiculous, remind me of a French Film called "Mes Meilleurs Copains", that follows a group of friends through their revolultionary days in the seventies till the more materialistic times of the eighties.

At some point they form a band that plays unwttingly hilarious counter-revolutionary songs

DUB, PETTIBONE & ALL THAT JAZZ

Is it because I'm about to become a father ? Is it the sheer talent of Shep Pettibone ? Or some weird nostalgic dimension attached to the eighties, when a certain romanticism permeated the airwaves ?

Will put the tracklisting up if you do

Higher Gear

Powerful, driving, a real rocket to Mars, worthy of carl Craig comparisons in my modest opinion

Beam Me Up !

Jacques Renault's mix is great, but this one is worth checking too, with its Göttsching overtones.

New Bison 12

After the great "Way to L.A." another slow burning snakey groove, like a windy trip on Sunset Bd on your way to Malibu

Another proof of the brilliance of M.Moonlight

After his great cover of "Interplanetary Music", here's another gem in his magical talking heads wonky style
