I find French singer Higelin rather annoying but I love this track, discovered thanks to Prins Thomas and Pal Strangefruit. The intense "poetic" lyrics, verging on the ridiculous, remind me of a French Film called "Mes Meilleurs Copains", that follows a group of friends through their revolultionary days in the seventies till the more materialistic times of the eighties.

At some point they form a band that plays unwttingly hilarious counter-revolutionary songs

Is it because I'm about to become a father ? Is it the sheer talent of Shep Pettibone ? Or some weird nostalgic dimension attached to the eighties, when a certain romanticism permeated the airwaves ?
